2/19: The Chairman's essay was submitted today after many hours of hard work by our team's writing commitee. Thank you so much to all who helped! The essay itself can be veiwed at this link.
2/20: The new website was born today! It's been a long time comming. Of course, right now it's only a little stub of a site, and is currently unpublished. Anyways, I'll hopefully be able to host this little guy soon so that other people can read what I'm typing here and I'm not just talking to myself ^__^
2/21: Oh wow, we're on teh interwebz! Yay! I sucsessfully published the site around 12:45 today, so now it's ready to be veiwed by the worlds. Of course it's a work in progress, but it looks decent and serves it's purpose.
3/3: Competition is in about 2 weeks, so it's time to kick it into gear. The robot is nearing completion as spirit works on building new flags and banners. Let's kick it into high gear, guys!
3/4: Some new pictures up in the pics section of today's meeting, go check it out! Also, a lot of good work was done today on the banners and such for spirit. Great job everyone!
3/5: Freshmen orientation tonight was a great sucess, and we're looking foward to a nice batch of freshmen comming in next year! Permission slips for the away competition were handed out at today's meeting, so remember to get those in as soon as possible. A vote was taken today determining that Amanda is our safetuy captain for the year. Congrats Amanda, the whole team is excited to work with you.
3/17: A very productive meeting was held today, and a couple of the members got to have some fun with the "Moon Rocks" that are used in this year's game. Competition is in 2 days (9 days for Long Island) so get ready to show some serious 287 spirit!
4/4: WOW! It's been a very long time since I've updated the site because we've been very busy, but WOW! Maryland went well, but nothing extremely exciting (besides a lot of fun had by everyone). SBPLI on the otherhand... well you probably know this already but WE WON! First place! We also recieved the coveted Judge's award, further securing our place in history as the winner of the 10th anniversary of the SBPLI competition. We are all very proud, and now we're on to Atlanta to face the winners of all of the other regional competitions. Way to go guys!
Stay tuned for more updates!
